My Views
'The Hunt' is a short story written by Sourabh Mukherjee. It's a part of the 'It's All About Love' series and is published individually on Kindle. This 11-page-long story is published by Shrishti Publishers.
The story is told in the first person by a man who is seen keeping an eye on a bank. At the start of the story, he reveals that he's a police officer and has been waiting for Dibakar Roy.
While this is happening, we see the person reminiscing about an event that has happened in his past. Who is this Dibakar Roy, and what is his relationship with the narrator's past? These are the questions that would make you read this story in a single go.
The author, by describing the present situation and showing glimpses of the narrator's past, manages to keep the interest in the story.
There is no twist as such, but the writing is such that it grips you, and you'd want to know how this ends. Thus, it's a decent read, in my opinion.
I would like to read other stories in this series and, if possible, would also read the longer works by him.
