First Sentence:
We moved to Florida during Christmas vacation.
Story:
The tuckers had moved to Florida during Christmas vaccation. Their new house was at the edge of a swamp which locals referred to as Fever Swamp.
Now something weird was happening at Fever Swamp.
There was some creature that had started howling in the night. And then people started finding animals torn to shreds.
Everyone suspects Grady's new dog wolf is responsible for all of this. The dog looks more like a wolf and seems a little on the wild side.
But Grady knows Wolf is innocent. He is just a regular dog. He knows there is something else which is behind this and Grady's going to find that out.

Grady Tucker: 12 year old boy, narrator of the story
Emily Tucker - Grady's 16year old older sister
Wolf - A dog that had come to tuckers
Will Blake - Grady's neighbour and his new friend
Cassie O Rourke - A girl of Grady's age who used to live near him

My View:
The werewolf of the fever swamp is the fourteenth book in the original Goosebump book series. The book was first published in 1993.
The book is divided into 29 chapters and the story is narrated by a 12 year old boy who has just moved to their new home in florida. The book starts with Grady describing the weird howling that had started after one week of their moving in. These howls have frightened Grady as he doesn't know who is behind this. His parents are scientists and they know that wolves are not present in swamps so they too are in the dark about the creature that is creating this ruckus in the night.
As the story progresses we get to see how this mysterious creature is disrupting the life of families living near the fever swamp.
Grady along with his group of friends do their own investigating when Grady's dog starts getting the blame for all the things that are happening there.
Although the book's title has werewolf in it the mention of werewolf doesn't comes very late in the story. The theory of every thing being done by werewolf is most of the times ridiculed by everyone but then since it was goosebumps so i knew the culprit would only be a werewolf. I only needed to know who would be the werewolf. There are many characters who look like they may be the werewolf but it's hard pin pointing any one of these suspects.The author has managed to keep this mystery till the end. I'll have to say it was a surprise for me.
The werewolf the the fever swamp was an entertaining read for me.IMHO it's more of a mystery than a straight out horror story but it kept me hooked till the end.
If you are looking for an engrossing adventure then i thing you'd like it.
